Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator reports to Human Resources Generalist and is responsible for providing on-site HR support to the manufacturing facility and serving as the primary point of contact for employees and supervisors on HR-related matters. This role supports the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll administration, terminations, HR compliance, and special projects. The HR Coordinator also assists with maintaining ISO documentation and ensuring HR processes are aligned with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process for hourly and salaried positions.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Prepare employment offers and onboarding documentation.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure all required documents are completed and filed.
Employee Relations
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related concerns.
- Assist supervisors and managers with employee relations matters.
- Support attendance management, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
- Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Collect, review, and process payroll-related information, including attendance, vacation, and leave records.
- Coordinate with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and related inquiries.
- Maintain employee status changes, including hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
Offboarding & Terminations
- Coordinate employee termination processes and prepare required documentation.
- Conduct exit interviews and maintain termination records.
- Ensure compliance with employment standards and company policies during employee separations.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate HR records and personnel files.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR procedures.
- Update and maintain HR-related ISO documentation, forms, procedures, and records.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
HR Projects & Administrative Support
- Participate in HR initiatives and special projects as assigned.
- Assist with policy development, employee engagement activities, and training programs.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and presentations as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the HR department.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CHRP designation or working toward designation is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2-3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, and HR compliance.
- Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Working Conditions
- Primarily based at the manufacturing facility.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
