Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of desserts, including crepes, waffles, pancakes and other sweet treats, with attention to detail and presentation.
- Decorate desserts using cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and packaging baked goods for sale or delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
- Support the team in cooking and food handling activities across the kitchen to ensure smooth operations during busy hours.
- Package desserts efficiently for takeout or delivery, ensuring freshness and quality are preserved.
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about menu items and assisting with product selections when needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude and team spirit.
- Basic kitchen experience including cooking, baking, packaging, and food industry knowledge is highly desirable.
- Willingness to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
