The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate Accountant to join our accounting team. Reporting to the Manager of Accounting Services, you will be based in our Leduc office, responsible for supporting specific divisions within the corporate group while assisting with financial reporting, analysis, and other ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities:
Perform AR functions including conversion of field tickets to invoices, monitor open tickets, generate and submit invoices, post deposits
Work closely with operations team to ensure all work is invoiced on a timely basis
Prepare account reconciliations and working papers for month end and year end
Accounting for fixed assets (additions, disposals, depreciation)
Utilize intermediate/advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data efficiently
Maintain strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Manage time effectively to meet deadlines consistently
Assist the accounting manager with month end and year end work and other projects as needed
80% of the role will be conducted in the Edmonton office and 20% will be done remotely
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience in an industry setting
Proficiency in Excel and ability to work with large data sets
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation
Strong organizational abilities and capacity to multitask
Knowledge of Power BI is an asset
