Part-Time Elementary English & French Tutor
Elementary Tutor | Reading & Writing Support
$18–$20 per hour | In-Person | Part-Time
Do you enjoy working with children and helping them develop strong reading, writing, and language skills?
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Elementary Tutor to support students in English and French at the elementary school level. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping young learners build confidence in reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension.
Tutors will work one-on-one or in small groups in a supportive learning environment designed to help students strengthen academic foundations and develop strong study habits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide elementary English tutoring (reading, writing, grammar, comprehension)
- Provide elementary French tutoring support for reading, vocabulary, and basic writing
- Support students in phonics, reading fluency, spelling, and language development
- Assist students in French Immersion or ESL support when needed
- Prepare engaging tutoring lessons and structured learning activities
- Track student progress and learning outcomes
- Communicate with parents about progress and learning goals
- Maintain a positive and encouraging tutoring environment
Qualifications
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to teach elementary-level French (reading, vocabulary, basic writing)
- Experience working with elementary students or tutoring children
- Familiarity with phonics, reading development, ESL, or French Immersion is an asset
- Strong communication, patience, and classroom management skills
- Bachelor’s degree or current university student preferred
