Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber or Pipefitter to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, pipefitting, and related trades, with the ability to interpret blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and work effectively in both commercial and industrial environments. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining critical infrasture system like water treatment plants, lift stations, booster staions, boiler system and more. The ideal cadidate would be driven to take on work opportunities on a wide range of projects localised between Coutenay and Cowichan.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, and equipment in commercial or industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and other construction tools to complete tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support installation processes
- Troubleshooting system and equipment for repair or replacement
- Assist in the assembly of piping systems using schematics and technical instructions
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing, pipefitting, or related construction trades
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in carpentry, HVAC systems, welding, and schematics reading
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction machinery proficiently
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Valid driver’s license
- Construction supervisor or foreman experience is highly desirable for this role

Pay: $45.36-$49.00 per hour
