Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team and drive excellence across various construction and renovation projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead skilled tradespeople, coordinate complex tasks, and ensure high-quality craftsmanship in diverse environments. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be at the forefront of project execution, leveraging your technical expertise and leadership skills to deliver outstanding results. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate teams of construction workers, ensuring tasks such as blueprint reading, concrete forming, cabinetry installation, framing, finish carpentry, painting, flooring, window and door installations, some taping (small projects) and more are executed efficiently and accurately.
- Oversee the use of hand tools and power tools, to complete projects safely and to specifications.
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide project workflows and ensure precise implementation of designs.
- Manage on-site activities including coordinating subtrades, doing material take offs and managing staff.
- Conduct quality control inspections during various phases of construction or restoration projects to maintain high standards of craftsmanship.
- Enforce safety protocols and complete documentation related to maintaining COR certification and meet Workplace Health and Safety standards.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry and all aspects of commercial and residential construction.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Hands-on experience with construction estimating processes and project planning is an asset.
- Prior leadership experience managing teams on large-scale or complex projects is preferred.
- A proven track record of effective communication, problem solving and management skills.
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic is a must. The successful candidate must demonstrate patience and a collaborative approach to working with and developing a high functioning team.

Pay: $26.11-$44.98 per hour
