ARK Home Improvements is looking for a hardworking and reliable Construction Labourer / Renovation Helper to join our growing team serving Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge, and surrounding areas.
We specialize in residential renovations including basement finishing, bathroom renovations, flooring, drywall, painting, trim work, decks, and general home improvements.
Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and renovation crews on residential projects
- Load, unload, and transport materials and tools
- Site preparation, setup, and cleanup
- Demolition and debris removal
- Assist with framing, drywall installation, painting, and flooring
- Support installation of doors, trim, baseboards, and other finish carpentry
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized worksite
- Follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
- Interact professionally with homeowners and team members
Requirements
- Previous construction or renovation experience is an asset
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labour
- Reliable transportation and valid G driver’s license preferred
- Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely
- Comfortable working independently when required
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following is considered an asset:
- Drywall installation
- Taping and mudding
- Framing
- Painting
- Flooring installation (vinyl, laminate, hardwood)
- Trim and finish carpentry
- Door installation
- Deck building
- General handyman repairs
