Capital Hyundai is looking for an energetic, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our Service Department! If you enjoy working with people, solving problems, and creating great customer experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
As a Service Advisor, you’ll be the main point of contact between our customers and technicians. You’ll help customers understand their vehicle’s service needs, coordinate repairs, provide updates, and ensure they receive a positive experience from check-in to pickup. This position offers performance incentives beyond the hourly rate of pay, resulting in an annual earning potential of $70,000-$90,000+.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customersand determine their vehicle service needs.
- Schedule service appointments and provide customers with accurate repair and maintenance estimates.
- Communicate customer concerns and service needs clearly to technicians.
- Review and explain recommended repairs, including parts, labour, and applicable warranties.
- Confirm warranty and service contract coverage and explain applicable provisions and exclusions.
- Obtain customer authorization for recommended repairs.
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process and provide updates as needed.
- Notify customers when their vehicle is ready and explain completed repairs and services.
- Assist with alternate transportation arrangements, including shuttle services and rental vehicles.
- Address customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Process customer payments, including cash and credit transactions.
- Maintain accurate customer records and service documentation.
- Stay informed on current service offerings, promotions, and manufacturer updates.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Follow all dealership policies, manufacturer guidelines, and health and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Service Department and dealership operations.

- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing estimates and service documentation.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working with computers and various technology systems.
- Knowledge of automotive repair and service processes is considered an asset.
- Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in the service industry is required.
- Previous automotive service or parts experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office is considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract.
- Record of Conduct.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:30pm, with the potential of overtime as needed.
