About Us:
Crescent Oral Surgery is a large 3 location Oral Surgery practice with locations in Scarborough, Richmond Hill and Aurora. The Medical Device Reprocessing Technician performs duties related to the cleaning and sterilization of instruments and equipment and preparing surgical trays for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
-
Sort, clean & process surgical instruments
-
Clean, assemble & sterilize surgical kits for multiple procedures
-
Perform high temperature steam sterilization and other forms of sterilization
-
Utilizing knowledge of multiple instruments to assemble surgical trays for multiple procedures for surgeons
-
Perform daily biological test for multiple processors; keep and maintain accurate logs
-
Inventory control of equipment and supplies to keep clinic running effectively

Putting away supplies that arrive to the clinic

About You:

Minimum completion of Medical Device Reprocessing certificate required
-
2+ year(s) of experience in a medical device reprocessing role required

Knowledge of instrument technology
-
Knowledge of high stream sterilization
-
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently and understand verbal work orders

Basic computer knowledge
-
Detail oriented
-
Compliant with PPE protocols for sterilization
-
Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment

Effective organization and communication skills
-
Punctual and good attendance
-
Ability to travel between offices an asset
