Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and grow within the food service industry. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a passion for customer service and food industry operations. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, tables, and service stations in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support overall restaurant operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy periods
- Ensure all guest requests are addressed promptly to promote guest satisfaction
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred; hospitality background is a plus
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance the dining experience
- Food preparation knowledge and kitchen experience beneficial but not required
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
