Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our busy kitchen team. Duties
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, peeling, and measuring to ensure timely dish assembly
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in meal preparation during service hours, ensuring quality and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Organise ingredients and supplies to optimise workflow during busy periods
- Support the team with additional tasks such as plating dishes and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Previous experience in serving or assisting front-of-house staff is advantageous but not essential
- Enthusiasm for learning new cooking techniques and expanding culinary knowledge
