Yellow Submarine Plumbing & Rooter is a locally owned residential plumbing and drain company serving Central Vancouver Island. Known as the Happiest Plumbers on the Island, we believe great customer service starts from the very first phone call.
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and proactive Customer Service Representative / Dispatcher to join our team in Nanaimo.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, can confidently manage a busy schedule, and isn't afraid to pick up the phone and make things happen.
What You'll Do
- Answer incoming calls and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Make outbound calls to fill schedule openings and follow up with customers
- Book and schedule plumbing and drain service appointments using ServiceTitan
- Assess incoming calls and appropriately prioritize emergency and urgent service requests
- Actively manage the daily schedule to keep technicians booked and the job board full
- Ensure technicians have jobs assigned and help minimize gaps in their schedules
- Follow up on open estimates and service opportunities
- Communicate appointment updates and schedule changes with customers and technicians
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information
- Manage customer communications through phone, email, and other channels
- Assist with company social media, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Respond to social media questions and comments and help schedule posts
- Respond professionally to Google reviews
- Help ensure customers receive an excellent experience from their first call through follow-up

- Reliable, accountable, and detail-oriented
- A strong verbal and written communicator
- Comfortable learning new software and technology
- Familiar and comfortable with social media
- Able to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Experience
Previous experience in customer service, dispatching, scheduling, administration, or a call centre is an asset.
Experience with ServiceTitan, plumbing or another home-service/trades business is an asset but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
Hours & Compensation
- $24.00–$26.00 per hour, based on experience, plus spiffs
