Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their hair goals and recommend suitable styles and treatments
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and finishing to meet client expectations
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools to ensure client safety
- Engage with clients through friendly communication, ensuring they feel valued and heard throughout their visit
- Upsell additional services or retail products that enhance the client’s experience and meet their needs
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments
- Stay informed about current hair trends, techniques, and product knowledge to provide expert advice
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio of work showcasing versatility and creativity
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and foster repeat business
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols and safety standards within a salon environment
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain styling options and product recommendations
- Ability to upsell retail products effectively while prioritizing client satisfaction
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required
- A valid cosmetology or hairstylist license as per local regulations
