The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are looking to add an energetic, organized, and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead our evening shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
To support a successful onboarding and ensure comprehensive training across all areas of the operation, the successful candidate will initially work Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the training period, which is estimated to last approximately 4 (four) weeks. Following completion of training, the regular schedule will transition to the evening shift of 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m permanently.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be the key operational leader on the evening shift, helping oversee teams and workflow across shipping, receiving, inventory, and production.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being on the floor, supporting people, solving problems, coordinating multiple priorities, and keeping a busy warehouse moving.
You will play an important role in making sure work is completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and on time while maintaining strong communication between departments and shifts.
The successful candidate won't lead from behind a desk. You'll be visible on the floor — setting priorities, coaching employees, removing roadblocks, reinforcing accountability, and stepping in to support the team when needed.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate evening shift operations across shipping, receiving, inventory, and production.
- Provide clear daily direction and priorities to warehouse and production team members.
- Monitor workflow, staffing, productivity, quality, and operational priorities throughout the shift.
- Make real-time adjustments to labor and workflow to keep work moving and meet customer requirements.
- Support accurate and timely shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, inventory, and production activities.
- Help maintain inventory accuracy, organized product locations, and effective material flow throughout the warehouse.
- Identify and resolve operational problems, bottlenecks, discrepancies, and quality concerns.
- Coach, train, support, and develop team members while reinforcing expectations and accountability.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure established procedures and safe work practices are followed.
- Maintain high standards for warehouse organization, cleanliness, and housekeeping.
- Coordinate priorities and communicate effectively with the Warehouse Manager and other departments.
- Ensure strong shift handoffs so outstanding work, priorities, and issues are clearly communicated.
- Use systems and operational information to monitor work, investigate issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen safety, accuracy, productivity, and efficiency.
- Roll up your sleeves and work alongside the team when needed.
What You Bring
You are someone who:
- Has previous experience leading or supervising frontline employees in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Is comfortable overseeing multiple operational areas and balancing competing priorities.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can make confident decisions when plans change.
- Has a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling.
- Is organized, detail-oriented, and takes pride in running a structured and efficient operation.
- Enjoys coaching, training, and developing employees.
- Knows how to set clear expectations and follow through with accountability.
- Has strong problem-solving skills and doesn't wait for someone else to resolve an issue.
- Communicates clearly and works well with employees, supervisors, managers, and other departments.
- Embraces technology and enjoys using systems and information to improve workflow and productivity.
- Is comfortable using ERP systems and Microsoft Office programs, including Sage 300, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Has a hands-on, "roll up your sleeves" leadership style and enjoys spending time on the warehouse floor.
- Is physically capable of meeting the demands of warehouse work, including lifting, bending, moving, and carrying product.
- Has forklift experience or certification, which would be considered an asset.
