The Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University and McMaster Children’s Hospital is seeking a full-time academic Pediatric Clinical Immunologist/Allergist to join the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology. The successful candidate will be considered a clinician educator and will be expected to share responsibility for education and research in their division, as well as comprehensive clinical services. The Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology functions as a referral centre for the regions of Waterloo-Wellington and Hamilton-Niagara-Haldimand-Brant (LHIN's 3 and 4) serving a community of 2.3 million people, with more than 2500 out-patient visits per year. The Division also offers consultative services to the general pediatric in-patient unit, pediatric intensive care unit as well as the emergency department at McMaster Children’s Hospital.
This position will incorporate an academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the applicant. The Division of Pediatric Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology currently has one Pediatric Immunologist/Allergist who works closely with clinicians in the Division of Immunology and Allergy in the Department of Medicine. We are looking for a Pediatric Immunologist/Allergist who has at least one year experience as an Attending Clinical Immunologist and a background in both clinical and basic research in Immunology and Immune Deficiency. Applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Pediatric Immunology and Allergy and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario.
