Overview
Dazzler Renewables is hiring Residential Rooftop Solar Installers to join our team in Edmonton.
Important: This is a residential rooftop position. This is NOT a ground-mount or solar farm position.
The majority of the work involves working on residential house roofs, including sloped roofs, installing racking and solar panels.
Previous rooftop work experience is strongly preferred. Roofing, siding, construction, or residential rooftop solar experience is all relevant. Previous solar experience is an asset, but not required. We can provide solar installation training to candidates who are already comfortable working on roofs.
Responsibilities
- Work on residential rooftops to install solar PV systems.
- Install roof attachments, flashing, racking, and solar panels.
- Install microinverters and complete cable management.
- Safely use ladders and fall protection equipment.
- Follow installation drawings and crew leader instructions.
- Maintain good workmanship and keep job sites clean.
- Work outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Travel to residential job sites throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Qualifications
- Comfortable working on residential sloped roofs for a full workday.
- Previous roofing, siding, rooftop construction, or rooftop solar experience is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable using ladders, harnesses, and power tools.
- Physically capable of lifting approximately 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Fall Protection certification is an asset.
- Residential solar installation experience is an asset.
- Electrical experience is an asset but not required.
Ground-mount or solar farm experience alone may not be sufficient for this position unless you are also comfortable working on residential rooftops.

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
Experience:
- Roof or Construction : 1 year (preferred)
