Dentara Cabinets Ltd. is a locally owned and operated cabinet manufacturing company primarily serving builders, contractors, and developers across the Lower Mainland. Dentara is based in Abbotsford and has been in business for over 30 years.
Who You Are
You are a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual with cabinet installation or service experience. You take pride in high-quality workmanship, communicate professionally with customers, site staff, and internal team members, and are committed to completing work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete cabinet service work, warranty repairs, deficiencies, touch-ups, and adjustments after installation
- Perform post-install walkthroughs to identify deficiencies and ensure work is completed to Dentara’s quality standards
- Adjust doors, drawers, hinges, slides, hardware, and cabinet components as required
- Replace or repair panels, fillers, doors, drawers, trim, and other cabinet parts as needed
- Complete silicone, minor touch-ups, hardware replacement, and other finishing details
- Attend customer homes, multi-family projects, and active construction sites in a professional manner
- Document completed work, deficiencies, site conditions, and required follow-up items with photos and notes
- Read and understand basic cabinet layouts, drawings, measurements, and service instructions
- Communicate clearly with Project Managers, site supervisors, customers, installers, and the Operations Manager
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle, tools, and service materials
- Follow all company safety policies and site-specific safety standards while working on job sites
This position is typically Monday to Friday shifts, 7:30AM – 4:00PM, with overtime required from time to time. Reliability, dependability, professionalism, and a positive attitude are musts. This role starts at the shop each day before travelling to job sites and reports to the Operations Manager.
Employment Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Cabinet installation and/or cabinet service experience is preferred
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Able to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and accurately
- Able to read basic drawings, layouts, measurements, and work orders
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work including bending, lifting, standing, and carrying materials
- Must be able to verbally communicate and take direction. (English)
- Must be willing to work on active construction sites and follow all site safety requirements
Compensation
Based on experience and qualifications. Starting from $25.00 per hour, negotiable depending on experience. Paid overtime. Health and Dental plan available after completion of the probationary period. Payment for phone and KM's driven included. Company vehicle and gas card in place of KM's available for the right person as well as Advancement/growth opportunities
