Job Description
UM Inc is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Territory Sales Representative to manage and grow our customer base throughout Quebec.
The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for our existing Quebec customers while also developing new business opportunities across the region. This role requires a proactive individual who enjoys building long-term relationships, visiting customer facilities, identifying customer needs, and collaborating closely with internal engineering and production teams to deliver effective technical solutions.
The Territory Sales Representative will play a key role in strengthening UM Inc’s presence in Quebec and supporting the continued growth of the company.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for existing customers throughout the Quebec territory, providing exceptional customer service and building strong, trust-based relationships
- Regularly visit customer facilities to maintain relationships, understand operational needs, and identify new opportunities
- Develop and expand the Quebec market by prospecting and acquiring new customers within the beverage, food, and manufacturing industries
- Serve as a liaison between customers and the engineering team, effectively communicating customer requirements, feedback, and project specifications
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop customized solutions and ensure successful project execution
- Understand customer needs and recommend tailored solutions that showcase the value and benefits of UM Inc products and services
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, technical proposals, and product recommendations to customers and decision-makers
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market penetration and grow territory revenue
- Manage customer inquiries, quotations, follow-ups, and ongoing account development activities
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and commercial agreements while ensuring a positive outcome for both the customer and UM Inc
- Maintain accurate customer activity records and sales opportunities using CRM and internal systems
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities as required
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Technical, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in customer-facing or sales-related roles
- Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented with strong territory management abilities
- Ability to understand customer requirements and propose practical technical solutions
- Willingness to travel frequently within Quebec to visit customers
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel independently throughout the territory
- Comfortable working collaboratively with engineering, production, and customer service teams
