Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning and high standards of customer service
- Support sales management by implementing merchandising strategies and pricing policies
- Supervise and motivate team members, including recruiting, training, and developing staff to achieve performance goals
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and POS transactions accurately
- Assist with inventory management, purchasing, and stock replenishment to optimize product availability
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store traffic and sales
- Prepare reports related to sales, budgeting, and inventory for management review
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Participate in interviewing potential candidates and contribute to team building efforts
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing, and sales management
- Knowledge of recruiting, training & development, payroll processing, and administrative tasks
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams, manage budgets, and oversee store operations effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with clients and staff
