Responsibilities:

Breathing Air Attendant (Bottle-watch).
-
Confined Space Monitor/Attendant (Hole Watch).
-
Materials deliveries within the refinery and material clean-up.
-
Forklift Operation and materials movement and transfer.
-
Garbage, recycling, and waste management.
-
Snow removal and sand/salt applications.
-
Safety/Fire Watch.
-
Some general cleaning activities.
-
Escort responsibilities for personnel not familiar with the facility.

Operate mobile equipment to support the above duties such as: Forklift, Boom-lift, Scissor-lift, Flat-deck, etc.

General Industrial Laborer Duties.

Participate in Maintenance team Site Safety meetings and activities.
Education:
-
Preference given to Laborer Red Seal certification. Other related certifications and documented qualifications are considered assets.
Requirements:
-
Physically Fit with the ability to perform strenuous activities.
-
5+ years of hands-on applicable industrial/construction skilled laborer experience.

Equipment Operator experience IE, Bobcat, Plow Truck, Flat Deck.
-
Recent Forklift Certification.
-
Transportation of Dangerous goods experience is an asset.
-
Arial Platform Operators certificate is considered an asset. IE. Boom lift and Scissor lift endorsement.

Confined Space Attendant training and experience considered an asset.
-
Transportation of Dangerous Goods TDG training considered an asset.

Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize work.

Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5 Minimum).

Demonstrated Strong Teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated behaviors that support Parkland’s Diversity and Inclusion culture.

Demonstrated ability to positively interact and communicate with personnel from all divisions and levels of the company including contractors.

Perform effectively under conditions of a fluctuating workload with frequent changes and competing demands.

Comfortable speaking in public forums such as team meetings, toolbox talks, start and end of shift meetings.

Current & up to date with Active Learner Training.
-
WHMIS training and prior experience is an asset.
Additional Information:

Days of Work: 4 Shifts (Tuesday-Friday or as determined by supervisor)
-
Hours of Work: 9.5hrs/day (7:30am - 5:30pm)
-
Rate of pay: $40.18 plus 14% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay.

The anticipated end date is December 15th, 2025, or subject to the return of the incumbent.
