The goal of the Step-Up Step-Down program is to provide intensive residential treatment in conjunction with community support for youth and their families so that the youth can re-integrate into their home, school and community. The program collaborates internally and externally to provide consistent, comprehensive, and individualized clinical services to youth across both the residential and community settings. The program also increases the capacity of youth (and their caregivers’) to manage the youth’s addiction and/ or complex mental health needs through a collaborative and enhanced approach. As a valued member of the Step-Up Step-Down team, you will participate in the assessment of clients’ needs, situations, strengths, and support networks to determine their goals. You will develop plans to improve their clients’ well-being, research and refer clients to community resources, help clients work with government/community agencies to apply for and receive supports, advocate for, and help clients get resources that would improve their well-being, and follow up with clients to ensure that their situations have improved. Red Deer is in Central Alberta near the midpoint of the Calgary–Edmonton Corridor and is surrounded by Red Deer County.
