CLASS 1 DRIVER WITH AIR BRAKE ENDORSEMENT

Join our growing team at Inter-Pacific Specialized Services, a leading provider of specialized flat deck transportation, picker (knuckle boom) services, crane operations, and heavy haul solutions across Alberta and Western Canada. With branches in Edmonton, Calgary, we deliver reliable, efficient service for our clients in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, intermodal, and more.
We are currently seeking a safety-focused Class 1 Driver (with Air Brake Endorsement) to operate our specialized equipment, including flat decks, picker trucks (knuckle boom cranes), and related heavy
vehicles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles, including flat decks and picker/knuckle boom trucks.
▪ Load, secure, and transport specialized freight (e.g., equipment, materials, containers).
▪ Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and comply with all Hours of Service regulations.
▪ Adhere to strict safety protocols, including proper rigging awareness, load securement, and site hazard recognition.
▪ Coordinate with dispatch and on-site teams for efficient deliveries.
▪ Travel within Alberta and potentially Western Canada as required.
REQUIREMENTS
▪ Valid **Class 1 Driver's License** with **Air Brake (Q) Endorsement** (Alberta).
▪ Clean driver's abstract
▪ Minimum 2+ years of recent Class 1 commercial driving experience (heavy haul, flat deck, or specialized transport preferred).
▪ Experience or familiarity with picker/knuckle boom trucks an asset (not required—we provide training for qualified candidates).
▪ Strong safety mindset and commitment to OHS compliance.
▪ Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and fit-for-duty assessment.
▪ Reliable, team-oriented, with excellent communication skills, must be proficient in english.
▪ Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and occasional out-of-town runs.
