Water Babies is a leading baby and toddler swimming program, helping children build confidence, water safety skills, and a lifelong love of swimming. Our North York & Markham team works with families from their first enquiry through their ongoing swimming journey, creating a welcoming and supportive experience both in and out of the pool.
Position Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused Sales & Marketing Representative to join our team.
This role combines sales, customer service, marketing, and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will help generate new enquiries, convert leads into bookings, support existing customers, promote our swimming programs, and contribute to the growth of Water Babies across North York and Markham.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Service
- Respond to new customer enquiries by phone, email, and other communication channels in a friendly and professional manner.
- Explain Water Babies programs, lesson structure, pricing, policies, locations, and available class options.
- Recommend suitable classes based on the child's age, location, schedule, and family preferences.
- Follow up with prospective customers and leads to encourage registrations.
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings and help achieve enrolment and sales targets.
- Contact families on waiting and reserve lists when suitable spaces become available.
- Support existing customers with class changes, bookings, cancellations, payments, and general enquiries.
- Build positive relationships with families and provide excellent customer service throughout their Water Babies journey.
- Maintain accurate customer information, enquiry records, follow-up notes, and booking details in the company system.
Marketing & Lead Generation
- Support the planning and execution of local marketing campaigns to increase awareness and generate new leads.
- Promote Water Babies programs, new classes, locations, special events, and seasonal enrolment opportunities.
- Assist with creating engaging content for social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels.
- Help manage social media activity and maintain consistent brand messaging.
- Identify opportunities to promote classes with available spaces and support class-filling initiatives.
- Assist with community outreach and develop relationships with local businesses, parenting organizations, childcare centres, and other potential partners.
- Support referral campaigns and other initiatives designed to attract new families.
- Help organize and promote events, open houses, trial sessions, photoshoots, and other customer engagement activities.
Sales & Marketing Performance
- Track enquiries, leads, bookings, conversions, and campaign performance.
- Follow up with leads in a timely and organized manner.
- Monitor class availability and work with the operations team to prioritize classes requiring additional enrolment.
- Provide regular updates on sales activity, customer feedback, and marketing results.
- Identify trends in customer enquiries and recommend opportunities to improve sales and marketing efforts.
- Contribute ideas for increasing brand awareness, customer retention, referrals, and overall enrolment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, marketing, administration, or a related role is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly, confident, and professional telephone manner.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable speaking with prospective customers and converting enquiries into bookings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries, follow-ups, and priorities efficiently.
- Comfortable using email, social media, customer management systems, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Experience with social media marketing or content creation is an asset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team.
- Positive, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
- An interest in working with families, babies, and young children is an asset.
