Job title: Warehouse Receiver
Location: Vaughan, ON (Weston and Steeles)
Hours:
DAY SHIFT: Monday–Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm and Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm
AFTERNOON SHIFT: Monday-Thursday 1:00pm to 10:00pm and Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm
Pay rate: from $22.00 per hour, based on experience
As a Receiver, you will be responsible for the receipt of incoming goods and materials in a warehouse/distribution center. The successful candidate will ensure that all shipments are inspected, received and stored in a safe and organized manner. You will be a detail oriented team player, with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Unloading inbound shipments.
- Receive incoming shipments into inventory.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments, inspecting goods for damage and discrepancies.
- Sort, organize, and stage product to prepare for the stocking inventory.
- Collaborate with the Lead Receiver to list/forecast shipments and expected time arrivals.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area; follow safety and security protocols.
- Responsible for the safe operation of all warehouse equipment (lifts, ladders etc.).
- garbage disposal,
- cardboard recycling,
- disposal of broken products in accordance with warehouse policy.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Receiver with a minimum of 3 to 5 years.
- Valid licenses for Counterbalance, Reach and Order Picker forklifts - all three.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Quality focused and detail oriented.
- Intermediate math and computer skills.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, slide product that typically weight up to 50lbs and may weight up to 70lbs.
- RF scanner experience.
- Working outdoors and indoors based on work requirements.
