Our transportation and logistics client in the Midhurst area is currently seeking an experienced Part-Time Dock Worker to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with LTL freight experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced dock environment. $23.85 / hr
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 2:00 PM until close (typically 7:30 PM – 8:00 PM)
Responsibilities
- Unload ("strip") inbound city trailers
- Sort and move freight to designated outbound trailers
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
- Reweigh freight using tow motor/forklift scales
- Ensure freight is handled accurately and securely
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Experience working with LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight is required
- Ability to lift and move freight as required
- Strong attention to detail and safety procedures
- Reliable transportation to and from work
Requirements
- Must have proper PPE, including:
- CSA-approved safety footwear
- High-visibility safety vest
- Other PPE as required
Compensation
- $23.85 per hour
- Consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule
