Onyx-Fire Protection Services Inc. is one of Canada's leading and fastest-growing fire protection companies. We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing HR team and support recruitment across Canada.
Based in Mississauga, you'll lead full-cycle recruitment for a variety of positions, partner with hiring managers across the country, and help us attract the talented people who drive our continued success. The salary range will be determined based on relevant experience.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process from intake through offer acceptance, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for candidates and hiring managers.
- Recruit for a diverse range of positions across Canada, including skilled trades, operations, sales, leadership, and corporate functions.
- Coordinate candidate communications, interview scheduling, reference checks, offer preparation, and pre-employment activities to ensure a seamless recruitment experience.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR to understand hiring needs, provide recruitment guidance, and deliver an efficient, high-quality hiring experience.
- Lead recruitment intake meetings with hiring managers to understand position requirements, hiring priorities, and candidate profiles before launching recruitment activities.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Onyx-Fire employer brand by engaging active and passive candidates, building strong relationships, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Monitor recruitment metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Develop and maintain proactive talent pipelines by leveraging internal programs and external sourcing channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, employee referrals, networking, career fairs, and other innovative sourcing strategies to support current and future hiring needs.
- Occasional travel may be required to attend career fairs, recruitment events, or support hiring initiatives at branch locations across Canada.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a passion for identifying top talent.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, with a minimum of two (2) years of full-cycle recruitment or talent acquisition experience.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and a variety of sourcing techniques to identify and engage top talent.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization while working independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive candidate and business information.
- Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable navigating changing business priorities.
- Experience recruiting for skilled trades, technical, operations, or field service positions is considered an asset.
