Position: Water and Sewer Foreman
Location: Sites located in and around Edmonton. Some out of town work required as well.

About Us:
Kichton Contracting is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team. Kichton Contracting Ltd (KCL) has been in business since 1963 and is based out of Acheson, Alberta, Canada. KCL is classified as a medium-sized civil earthworks contractor. Our work ranges from residential earthworks, commercial site development, to industrial projects. Our services include grading design for all types of new commercial and industrial sites along with retrofitting existing sites to accommodate new site development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
● Follow and promote Kichton’s safety values and programs
● Ensure install is done up to quality standards and can pass all pressure/cctv testing
● Check work quality and production metrics
● Build and perform toolbox talks with crews
● Complete site walkthroughs and ensure safety requirements are met
● Complete equipment inspections and repair requests
● Review first calls/drawings/grades with Supervisors and crew
● Order materials, aggregates trucking, rentals, subcontractors, and fuel
● Report and complete incident documentation and investigation
● Request survey and compaction testing as required
● Track and report site activities using Kichton internal system
● Track, review, and approve employee hours and expenses
● Communicate regularly with Superintendents and Project Managers and general contractors
Qualifications and Competencies:
● Must be 18 years of age
● Minimum 2 years’ previous experience working in leadership role in water and sewer industry
● Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude
● Strong communication skills
● Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation
● Valid CSTS2020 certification (free online course through ACSA)
● LSE and Legislative awareness are an asset
● Valid First Aid and Ground Disturbance II certification
Work Schedule:
● Monday to Saturday (in town work). Out of town - various rotations.
● 10–12-hour shifts per day
● Overtime as required

Experience:
- construction leadership: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
