AlumaSafway is currently recruiting all level Insulatorsto join our team on the NSS project at Vancouver Shipyard.
- 2nd, 3rd year Apprentices and Journeyperson Insulators
- Journeyperson level MUST be ticketed
- Long term employment – approx. 1yr +
- Overtime Available when applicable
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (e.g. calcium silicate, glass foam, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass, armflex) on all types of industrial equipment (e.g. duct piping, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels).
- Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation (e.g. pin welding, wiring, banding, taping) according to the type and shape of surface, whether or not the equipment is cold or hot, inside or outside, and what the equipment is going to be used for.
- Measure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimension, as well as fitting insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coverings
- Install vapour barriers & finish insulated surfaces by applying metal cladding, canvas, PVC or cement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd year Apprentices and Journeyperson Insulators
- Journeyperson Insulators MUST be ticketed.
- CSTS 2020 and Fall Protection certifications required.
This position is a union position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.06-$45.57 per hour
