Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients, offering support with daily activities, personal care, and health management. This role is essential for creating a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for those in need of assistance, including seniors and individuals with disabilities or dementia.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a hygienic environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety during movement around the home or facility
- Support clients with activities that promote independence and engagement in social or recreational activities
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to administer medication accurately and follow healthcare protocols
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation efficiently
- Flexibility to adapt to different client needs and work schedules
- Prior experience in caregiving roles is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for necessary skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 70 – 80 per week
