Senior Associate, Experience Management – Halifax Audit Centre of Excellence
The opportunity
The Senior Associate, Experience Management (EM), contributes to the goals of maximum deployment for our Halifax Audit Centre of Excellence (COE) team to deliver on our audit engagements in Canada. The Senior Associate manages and develops timely resource solutions of COE staff, develops knowledge of staff skill sets and project requirements, coordinates with EY teams across Canada, and participates in developing resource deployment strategies for external client needs.
Your key responsibilities
Responsible for daily resource management activities within the Halifax Audit COE
Delivering timely resource deployment solutions through sourcing appropriate staff within the COE to service the needs across Canada
Actively managing resource capacity and ensuring that excess capacity or resource needs are communicated
Facilitating and leading problem resolution with management
Prioritizing staffing decisions based on engagement risk, specialization requirements, timing constraints, and staffing continuity
Proactively deploying communication plans and timely sharing of information necessary to secure project resources
Detailed tracking of resource requests and recommended solutions, weekly analysis of engagement assignments and special reports, as appropriate
Contributes at weekly COE Management Team meetings
Anticipating unmet delivery needs and recommending strategies for unassigned resources
Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
Skills and attributes for success

Proficient at negotiation skills and conflict management
Excellent technical capability with MS Office and quick to adapt to new software
To qualify for the role you must have
A University degree, or a College diploma preferred
3 to 5 years of experience in a corporate setting
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively deal with various demands and personalities
A strong attention to detail
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Committed team player with a solution-driven, value-add focus
Ideally you will also have:
Experience in project management or client relationship management
