Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Dental Hygienist for a temporary position working three days per week. Monday's 8:30am to 4:30pm Wednesdays 8am-5pm Thursdays 8:30am-4:30pm. Pay to be discussed based on experience . Position would start end of October 2026 and end late March 2027. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a caring team committed to enhancing patient smiles and promoting oral health. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a positive dental experience. Competetive wages based on experience and fit with the position. We have a full time Rover to assist with charting, perio charting and room changeover. 1 hour recalls for adults.
Duties
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to promote optimal oral health
- Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Support the dental team with chairside assistance during various procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics
- Maintain accurate patient records using Abeldent dental management software
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and ensuring a positive experience
Requirements
- Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in your region
- Experience with Abeldent or similar dental practice management software is preferred
- Previous dental office experience demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
