What is an Office Assistant?
As canfitpro’s Receptionist, you will provide a central reference point in the office for all staff and visitors, you will create and maintain a friendly, professional office atmosphere. An Office Assistant will assist in any office related matters as well as answer and forward incoming calls and greet visitors.

What will you be doing?

Assist with in-office registration for courses, exams, conferences and memberships
Prepare and deposit outgoing mail and correspondence with couriers for scheduled pick-ups
Complete inventory counts and place orders for office supplies and coffee while adhering and tracking budgeted expenses
Answer incoming telephone calls and forward messages
Greet and welcome visitors while upholding office security
Sort and distribute incoming mail and faxes
Clerical administrative duties
Using PowerPoint, prepare slide shows for monthly meetings and leadership
Managing daily communications with third party cleaning provider
Attend company events and conferences when required, including our Annual World Fitness Expo in Toronto
Supporting office needs, such as maintaining tidiness off communal offices and rooms
Escalate maintenance or office issues to property management and direct supervisor
Participate in social committee and support all events that are planned on a monthly basis
Additional tasks and projects as needed

Do you have what it takes?

Some post-secondary, university or college education
Required computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint and Access
Customer Service and administrative experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrate a passion for fitness and wellness
Effective organizational and time management skills
Ability to provide solutions and make recommendations
Professional, pleasant and confident telephone manner

Employment Conditions:
This position is based out of canfitpro Home Office at 225 Select Ave. Toronto
Able to work full time hours (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
Mainly weekdays, occasional evenings and weekends work will be required
Occasional travel required
