The Paperny Family JCC is currently seeking a reliable, energetic, and team-oriented individual to join our Maintenance Department as a part-time Evening Custodial Attendant. We are looking for someone who is professional, outgoing, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members and guests.
This position primarily involves cleaning and maintaining female locker rooms, universal locker rooms, washrooms, and surrounding facility areas.
Schedule:
- Regular weekday shifts: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–7:00 PM
- Additional relief shifts, primarily on weekends, may also be required
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize female locker rooms, universal locker rooms, and washrooms to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces including lockers, benches, sinks, countertops, door handles, and change areas
- Clean toilets, showers, mirrors, flooring, and related fixtures according to facility standards
- Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other washroom supplies
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain locker room and washroom floors
- Remove garbage and recycling and maintain waste receptacles
- Conduct regular inspections to identify cleanliness, safety, or maintenance concerns
- Report plumbing issues, damaged fixtures, or repair needs to the Sr. Director of Facilities
- Follow WHMIS regulations and safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Respond promptly to spills and sanitation concerns
- Maintain professionalism, privacy, and respectful customer service while working in locker room areas
Qualifications:
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- WHMIS knowledge or certification considered an asset
Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
