Maintenance First Line Supervisor

The maintenance first-line trade supervisor would be assigned to the Nanticoke site mechanical group whose prime role is to define and execute base and turnaround maintenance, ensuring safe and reliable operation of all site processing units. The individual will be responsible for overseeing contractor work groups and Imperial Oil Ltd technicians in the safe and effective execution of maintenance work within a processing area.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The personal safety performance of the employees in the workgroup consistent with an "all injuries and incidents can be prevented" work ethic
Monitoring work, responding to safe and at risk behaviors and ensuring minimal safety and health risk exposure
Continually working to improve the productivity of the work group and ensuring work is safely completed as schedule
Providing input into overall job plans and schedules
Monitoring of field execution and providing feedback on plans and schedules
Cost stewarding and forecasting
Troubleshooting and providing support to the quality of repair work
Assuring repair reporting requirements are met and data & information is accurately recorded


High school diploma or equivalent

Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record
Must have a minimum of five years relevant experience,
Boilermaker or pipefitting background experience is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build good, respectful working relationship in a team environment
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office including creating and manipulating Word documents and Excel worksheets, SAP beneficial.
Effectively manage time and priorities.
