PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
As a Crew Dispatcher you will communicate with Train & Engine (T&E) employees to appropriate assignments while ensuring the timely and cost-effective deployment of crews to meet operational requirements.

POSITION ACCOUNTIABILITIES:
Interpret and apply the applicable provisions of the T&E collective agreements;
Enter data into the various computer applications such as, but not limited to, Crew Management Application (CMA), Nexus, Auto Crew Caller and Microsoft Office;
Make business decisions based on priorities established by the Operations Centre (OC);
Answer any inquiries from employees;
Maintain Crew Management Application records;
Monitor T&E maximum hour clock and mandatory time on duty and rest rules;
Be accountable for the proficient handling of other related tasks as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Graduation or General Equivalency Diploma;
Previous dispatcher or call centre experience would be considered an asset;
Ability to work with minimum supervision and have the ability to make decision under stressful situations;
Strong written and verbal communication/comprehension;
Desire to work in a challenging environment;
Ability to work in a team environment;
Ability to work with minimum supervision and have the ability to make decision under stressful situations;
Bilingualism would be an asset (French and English).
This position is staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, therefore shift work and weekend work is required.
Ability to be flexible with changing work schedules.
