About this position:
Kamloops Home and Community Care provides a broad range of health care and support services for individuals with acute, chronic, palliative, and rehabilitative care needs, enabling clients to remain safely and independently in their homes and communities. Located in downtown Kamloops, this service plays a vital role in supporting patients across the continuum of care, with a focus on maximizing quality of life, functional independence, and community participation. Services include assessment and case management, nursing, rehabilitation, home support, and palliative care.
This position offers the Physiotherapist an opportunity to deliver client-centred rehabilitation in real-life environments where patients live and function every day. Physiotherapists work closely with an interdisciplinary team to assess mobility, balance, strength, safety, and functional abilities, helping clients maintain independence and reduce the risk of hospitalization or premature long-term care placement. Working within Home and Community Care allows physiotherapists to build meaningful relationships with clients and families while supporting individualized goals that promote independence, dignity, and quality of life. The community-based nature of the role provides a high degree of autonomy, clinical variety, and the opportunity to see the direct impact of rehabilitation interventions within clients' home environments.
Travel is a requirement of this role. This position will be available until the return of the incumbent (date unknown).
