Manufacturing Coordinator (Entry-Level) – Heavy Fabrication

Are you organized, mechanically inclined, and interested in building a career in manufacturing? Do you enjoy working in a hands-on environment where teamwork, safety, and quality are important?
We are looking for an Entry-Level Manufacturing Coordinator to support our fabrication and welding operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with manufacturing experience who is looking to grow into a production coordination role within a heavy fabrication environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist with coordinating daily production activities to help keep projects on schedule.
- Maintain and distribute contract drawings and production documentation throughout the shop.
- Prepare shipping paperwork and support outgoing product shipments.
- Work closely with production personnel, supervisors, and management to ensure work flows efficiently.
- Track production progress and assist with labour and job-cost reporting.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Help coordinate tooling, equipment, and shop resources as required.
- Ensure production records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Learn and support quality and safety requirements, including CWB, ASME, and TSSA standards.
What You Bring
- Diploma or certificate in Manufacturing, Welding, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or industrial environment is an asset but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and shop operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or ERP systems is considered an asset.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and desire to build a long-term career in manufacturing.
