We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager who takes pride in keeping a property operating safely, efficiently, and at the highest standard.

The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the hotel, guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and Food & Beverage outlets.
This is a working manager position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and performing maintenance work themselves while coordinating specialized contractors when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Respond promptly to guest and team member maintenance requests.
- Complete painting, drywall repairs, touch-ups, caulking, and minor carpentry projects.
- Repair and maintain doors, locks, furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Perform basic plumbing repairs including faucets, toilets, drains, and minor leak repairs.
- Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues and coordinate vendors when specialized repairs are required.
- Conduct regular inspections of guestrooms, public areas, and building systems to identify maintenance needs.
- Coordinate contractors and service providers to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and order maintenance supplies and materials as required.
- Support renovation projects and hotel improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, fire safety, and hotel operating standards.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of maintenance, facilities, building operations, hotel maintenance, or related experience.
- Hotel experience is considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of general building maintenance, plumbing, painting, drywall, and minor carpentry.
- Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and determine when specialized contractors are required.
- Highly organized, dependable, and self-motivated. Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the property.
- Ability to work varying schedules based on operational requirements and respond to emergency maintenance situations when required.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
