Position Overview
The Med-Surg RN provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of acute medical and surgical conditions. This role involves patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and coordination with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care throughout hospitalization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Promote patient safety and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices.
- Support a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Canadian citizenship required.
- Canadian Permanent Residents are not eligible for this opportunity.
- Valid Canadian passport required.
- NCLEX passage required.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
- Active Registered Nurse license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong communication, critical-thinking, and clinical assessment skills.
