Job Overview
Piece of Mind Healing Center is seeking a Registered Psychotherapist (RP/RP Qualifying) or Registered Social Worker (MSW) with experience working with children and youth to join our growing group practice.
This is a unique position with two integrated components:
- Clinical Practice: Provide individual psychotherapy to clients through Piece of Mind Healing Center, both in person and virtually, while developing a caseload within our established group practice.
- School-Based Support: Provide on-site mental health support at a Christian elementary school in the Peel Region for approximately 3–4 hours every two weeks.
Participation in both components is required for this position.
The school schedule offers flexibility regarding the weekday and will be coordinated with the successful candidate and the school.
This opportunity is well suited to a clinician who is community-minded, collaborative, and interested in building a long-term relationship with a group practice. There is opportunity to gradually increase clinical hours and caseload as the clinician becomes established within the practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy to children, youth, and other appropriate clients within the Piece of Mind group practice.
- Offer both in-person and virtual psychotherapy based on client needs and clinician availability.
- Attend the partner Christian elementary school approximately every two weeks for a 3–4 hour on-site block.
- Provide developmentally appropriate mental health support to children within the school environment.
- Collaborate appropriately with parents/caregivers, school personnel, and other professionals while maintaining clinical boundaries and confidentiality.
- Work collaboratively with the Piece of Mind clinical and administrative team.
- Participate in community-based initiatives and contribute to a supportive, connected group-practice environment.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and regulatory standards in accordance with the clinician's governing college.
Qualifications
- Registered Psychotherapist (RP), Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), or Registered Social Worker (MSW) in good standing with the appropriate Ontario regulatory college.
- Demonstrated experience providing mental health support to children and youth.
- Comfortable providing services both in person and virtually.
- Able to commit to the recurring school-based component of the position.
- Identifies as Christian and is comfortable working within and supporting a Christian school community.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical documentation skills.
- Collaborative and interested in being an active member of a group practice and broader community.
- Interested in establishing a consistent caseload and growing with the practice over time.
Compensation & Schedule
- Independent contractor position.
- Compensation is based on an industry-standard fee split per client/session hour.
- Clinical hours and caseload can grow over time based on availability, referrals, and mutual fit.
- In-person and virtual clinical opportunities available through Piece of Mind Healing Center.
- School-based component: approximately 3–4 hours every two weeks.
- Flexibility is available regarding which weekday the school-based hours are scheduled.

Pay: $50.00-$120.00 per hour
