Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight from various destinations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and efficient route management. The position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence. We are home every night in Red Deer with most weekends off. Indoor parking in the winter.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and potential issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activity.
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. 3 years Experience class 1
- Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair or basic mechanical skills is advantageous
- Experience with route planning and navigation tools is beneficial
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $370.00 per day
