At Slabtown Armoury, hospitality is at the heart of everything we do. From intimate private dinners and corporate functions to weddings, cocktail receptions and milestone celebrations, we create experiences that guests remember long after the event is over.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, organized and service-driven Event Manager to lead our growing events program. If you thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment, love building relationships and have a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences, we'd love to meet you.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both the creative and operational sides of event planning. You'll manage every stage of the client journey—from the initial inquiry and venue tour to the final execution of the event—while working alongside an incredible culinary and hospitality team.

As our Event Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing a wide variety of private and corporate events from the initial inquiry through to the successful completion of the event. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building relationships and ensuring every detail is thoughtfully planned and flawlessly executed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to event inquiries promptly via phone and email
- Communicating regularly with clients throughout the planning process to provide updates, answer questions and guide them through every stage of their event
- Conducting venue tours and consultations with prospective clients
- Preparing customized event proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs) and invoices
- Coordinating menus, beverage selections, floor plans, seating arrangements, décor, entertainment, audiovisual requirements and event timelines
- Designing customized menus using Canva
- Managing event bookings, deposits, contracts and final payments
- Working closely with the culinary, management, bar and service teams to ensure every event is executed seamlessly
- Liaising with vendors, entertainers, florists, rental companies and other external partners
- Overseeing event setup, execution, and breakdown
- Monitoring event budgets and identifying opportunities to maximize revenue through thoughtful upselling of food, beverage and event enhancements
- Maintaining accurate client records, event files and planning documents
- Following up with clients after their event to gather feedback and foster lasting relationships
- Managing multiple events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and delivering an outstanding guest experience.
