Madinatul Uloom Academy is a private, faith-based school that has been serving the Scarborough community since 1996. We are currently hiring an Islamic Studies Teacher (Hafiz/Aalim) to teach elementary and high school grades.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, educational, and age-appropriate daily lesson plans.
- Create a dynamic classroom environment that fosters student interest and active learning.
- Design, assign, and assess educational materials, including homework, quizzes, tests, and projects.
- Supervise students to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- Adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs and promote interactive learning.
- Monitor and document student progress; prepare periodic progress reports and report cards.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate regularly with families regarding student development.
- Support students who may be experiencing academic, emotional, or personal challenges by connecting them with appropriate resources.
- Maintain consistent grading practices and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Stay current with educational trends and best practices in teaching by attending professional development workshops and training sessions.
- Integrate course objectives and life-relevant skills into lessons.
- Encourage and motivate students through praise, guidance, and individualized support.
- Perform additional teaching-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience (preferred).
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully in a team environment.
