Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring smooth meal preparation, food safety, and excellent food service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in food handling and kitchen operations.
Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support food service operations by helping serve meals to customers or guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Handle food safely by following proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and portioning
- Restock supplies and ensure all kitchen tools are properly stored and maintained
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure timely meal delivery
Experience
- Prior experience in cooking, restaurant service, or food handling is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
- Experience with meal preparation, serving, or working in a fast-paced food environment is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a dynamic setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
