Responsibilities
Assist senior technicians with routine automotive repairs and maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Support the disassembly and reassembly of vehicle components using hand tools, power tools, and schematics to ensure precise repairs.
Participate in welding and assembly projects as needed to strengthen vehicle structures or repair frames.
Perform heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment safely to facilitate efficient workflow.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency in the shop.
Learn to interpret technical schematics and repair manuals to understand vehicle systems thoroughly.
Contribute to ongoing vehicle maintenance by assisting with fluid replacements, filter changes, and other preventative care measures.
Experience
Previous experience or exposure to automotive repair environments is preferred but not required; a strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and schematics will be advantageous in performing tasks effectively.
Physical ability to lift heavy parts regularly and work in physically demanding conditions is necessary.
Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance practices will help accelerate your learning curve.
