We are currently looking for a detail-oriented, disciplined and highly motivated Regulatory Affairs Specialist. You will be working in a small team and will be reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager of the company.
Primary Focus:
Implements company and regulatory quality standards for retail and private label brand products. Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production. Performs inspections of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products. improving processes. Knowledgeable of industry and governmental quality regulations. Prepares filings and tracks applications for licensing, certification, and permits and interacts with governmental officials during the regulation and certification process for Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) programs. Monitors compliance with existing regulations and upcoming or changing regulations. Performs impact analysis of regulatory changes and produces status reports. Audits and reviews quality data according to existing procedures. Documents results in required format. Participates in processes to report, investigate, and addresses any issues of non-compliance.
The Role:
- Acts as project lead for label reviews ensuring collaboration amongst stakeholders in the completion of multiple various brand labels
- Reviews incoming reprint of labels, cases for accuracy, functionality, and compliance
- Manages internal label documents ensuring only current and up-to-date labels are circulated
- Ensures internal and external programs, documents accurately reflect all relevant product information
- Ensures that all products meet compliance standards from project inception through to launch stage by reviewing requirements with accuracy and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage project launch program meticulously by working with cross-functional teams ( internal and external ) in order to have clear alignment on projects milestones.
- Participates in new product launch program to support QA, operations, and supply chain
- Participate in the preparation of major regulatory filings, and ensures timely completion of routine regulatory submissions
- Performs site audits as per the auditing schedule and completes an annual review of the FSQA program
- Supports management and maintenance of certification documentation, including but not limited to; Kosher, Halal, Non-GMO Project Verified, Organic for new and existing products
- Supports timely response to feedback provided by cross functional team, retail partners, suppliers, during label review process
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Knowledge & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in regulatory
- Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA
- Experience in labeling software and systems
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements

Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Science, Biotechnology
- Certifications such as Quality Auditor, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma are an asset

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
