Digital Media Technician
The Digital Media Technician provides operational and technical support for students and staff of the Faculty of Media and Creative Arts. Working with faculty in any/all of the electronic media programs, eg: Creative Photography, Journalism, Broadcasting, Film & Television etc. Responsibilities of the Digital Media Technician include: equipment lending/distribution, inventory control, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities, demonstration of equipment, reporting on facility usage and materials consumption, and cooperative development of booking centre policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have a 2-year diploma in Multimedia, Photography, Broadcast radio/television, Film or New Media programs.
The successful candidate will have 2 years of photography, videography and/or film production experience. In addition, the successful candidate will have:
Familiarity with digital cameras, lenses, audio, lighting, large format printers (Photo) & digital recorders (Video)
