Diversified Staffing Services, a leading Staffing Agency in Alberta, is currently seeking a Shop Technician in the Red Deer area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance on service company flow line equipment in accordance with inspection and repair procedures, shop procedures, and all applicable safety guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Disassemble customer equipment
- Prepare equipment for sandblasting
- Perform sandblasting operations
- Conduct pressure testing
- Repair and refurbish equipment as required
- Complete all required documentation, including progress reports, timesheets, and inspection records
- Reassemble equipment following repairs
- Paint finished equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop
- Participate in company maintenance and safety programs
- Work overtime as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Successful completion of required assessments
- Ability to perform general mathematical calculations
- Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and customer standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
Physical Demands
- Operation of various machinery and power tools
- Sandblasting
- Frequent lifting of materials weighing between 10 and 100 pounds
- Ability to wear and work comfortably in required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Work Environment
- Exposure to moderate to high noise levels
- High-pressure testing areas
- Electrically powered equipment
