Job Summary
The Red Seal Carpenter will play a key role in delivering high-quality residential construction projects from start to finish. This individual will be responsible for completing skilled carpentry work, maintaining a safe and organized job site, and working closely with the Owner and Project Manager to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of residential carpentry, including framing, finishing, renovations, additions, and custom home construction.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Ensure work is completed to building code and Georgian Bay Custom Homes INC. quality standards.
- Coordinate daily tasks with the Owner and Project Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Identify and resolve construction issues proactively.
- Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Carpenter Certification (required)
- 5+ years of carpentry construction experience
- Experience with custom homes and high-end renovations preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
- Ability to lift heavy materials when required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
