The Program Evaluator will consult with the program submissions team and Senior Management team for all VR/AR Design & Development Diploma related programs.
PTIB Standards:
Credential Requirement:
- Relevant credential plus a minimum of two years of occupational experience in career occupations relevant to the program of instruction.
- No credential but a minimum of ten years of occupational experience in a career relevant to the program of instruction.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Game Design, Interaction Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in VR/AR design and development.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, or Maya, and development languages such as C#, C++, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with VR/AR hardware (e.g., Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Microsoft HoloLens) and relevant software platforms.
- Experience in educational content creation or curriculum development is preferred.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with academic staff and technical teams.
- A passion for innovation in immersive technology and education.
Skills and Competencies:
- Deep understanding of the design and development processes involved in creating VR/AR experiences, including asset creation, interaction design, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling, animation, and rendering workflows.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest developments in VR/AR, including emerging platforms, hardware, and user experience trends.
- Experience in user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design in immersive environments.
- A commitment to student success and a passion for education in VR/AR technologies.
Compensation:
- This will be a contract position that will pay $250.00 to $300 Canadian per project
